I started this company because my daughters Heather ( she's a nurse ) & Ginger ( she's in school to be a zoologist ) & I couldn't find a soap that didn't dry our skin out. I had tried my hand at soap making back in the 70's but really didn't pursue it as a career. I didn't even know how to start my own company back then. Kids, job, life kinda got in the way and it was much easier just to buy soap. Well, store bought soap dries your skin out! So I started doing more research, a lot of research. And what I found was that it's all in the base ingredients. There are more options for vegetable oils today than there was in the 70's.
So... I was off again on a quest for the perfect soap. Well, with a lot of testing I came up with a soap formula that worked for dry skin. An all vegetable base. That olive oil in your cabinet, high in antioxidants, great for inflamed skin. Cocoa butter, what you've heard is true. It's great for dry chapped skin. I rubbed cocoa butter on my belly every day when I was pregnant, guess what? No stretch marks. Well, the other products we have just kind of grew from there. Why not a body butter that didn't list water as the first ingredient? Bath oil for dry chapped skin. The list goes on. So... I hope you enjoy the products we make.
